THE STORMING OF THE BASTILLE BY THE MIDDLE-CLASS PERSONS AND THE FRENCH GUARDS, JULY THE 14^th 1789
Éventail patriotique, la feuille imprimée et coloriée au pochoir.
Gravure reprise en forme éventail. Persistance des numérotations de la gravure originelle : Arrestation de Monsieur Delaunay, le pavillon blanc (NDR : transformé pour l'occasion en rouge), la Maison de Monsieur Delaunay, les cuisines, le 1er pont-levis.
De part et d'autre de la scène centrale, deux colonnes de courtes chansons sur les airs suivants : "o ma tendre musette", "regarde cette rose", "air de mon berger volage", "dans ma cabane obscure".

N.B. : Un exemplaire similaire est conservé à Paris, au musée Carnavalet.
Bon état, quelques usures aux plis.
Dimension : Panache = 28 cm (hauteur feuille = 13,2 cm)

Patriotic fan. The sheet is printed and  hand coloured thanks to a stencil.  
The carving is in a fan form. Obstinacy of the numbers of the original carving: the arrest of Mr Delaunay, the white pavilion (transformed in red for the circumstances), Mr Delaunay’s house, kitchens, the first drawbridge.
For a part to another of the scene, two short songs: “oh my tender”, “look this rose”, “air of my fickle herdsman”, “in my dark hut”.

N.B. : A similar piece is conserved in Paris, in the Carnavalet museum.
Good condition, some wears in folds.
