LE MASQUE
Éventail plié, la feuille en soie peinte à la gouache, revers peint repris au trait.
De part et d'autre du masque, deux scènes : un bal dans le goût du XVIII^ème et une sortie de bal dans l'esprit de la Commedia del Arte.
Au revers, marotte, tambourin et branches de houx (ce type d'éventail était probablement vendu aux périodes de fêtes de fin d'année)
Signé au revers "Duvelleroy"
Monture en os à la forme, repercée, sculptée et peinte.
Hauteur du panache : 24,3 cm
Etat : Excellent

The mask
Folding fan, the gouache painted silk sheet, the reverse paints resumed in the line. On both sides of the mask, two scenes: a XVIIIth ball and a release of ball in mind of the Commedia del Arte.  In the reverse, the hobby, the tambourine and the branches of holly (these kind of fan were probably sold by Duvelleroy during the new year period)
Signed for the reverse " Duvelleroy ".
Pierced, engraved and painted  sticks according to the shape of the leaf.
Height of the panache : 24,3 cm
Condition: Excellent
